Miniature Film Manifesto (2016)
At our 2016 screening, festival host Robert David Duncan shared a Miniature Film Manifesto to celebrate miniature films as well as to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Dada Manifesto of 1916. It was received in the fun spirit it was intended and a great discussion ensued! Here it is, for your enjoyment and consideration...

- Every being is an artist.
- Art is anything that has been created, acted upon, thought about, arranged, curated or combined.
- All imagery, including static, moving, auditory and imaginary are forms of motion picture art.
- Rules and conventions of motion picture art are to be understood, respected, then rejected and replaced as desired.
- Miniature in the context of motion picture art refers to a basic unit that conveys a story, thought, message, idea or feeling, rather than a specific length of time. It can range from zero seconds upward.
